Conventionally heat is used as a medium to eliminate or kill bacteria to perform sterilization in surgical material. Both Hot Air Oven & Autoclave produce the desired result but with different mode of operation. A Hot Air Oven uses dry heat as the mode of sterilization, where as an Autoclave uses hot steam under pressure for the same.
